FUSED CALCIUM FERRITE


As substitute for fluorspar, fused calcium ferrate mainly is used to rapidly reduce the content of phosphor in molten steel. Moreover, it also can accelerate the melting of lime and further providing the best slagging terms in refining process.


Fused calcium ferrite is characterized as rapid eliminating the acidic impurities in the molten steel (arsenic and antimony) and also can help to present the homogeneous liquid area when touching with iron oxides. By virtue of above characterizations, fused calcium ferrite can solve the problem on magnetite precipitation during the smelting and reducing the contamination in the electrorefining process.

Moreover, fused calcium ferrite also can be played as deoxidizer, desulfurizer dephosphorizer in steelmaking, which can largely increase refining effective and prolong ladle’s service life.
