FUSED ZIRCONIA

 


Suntek Material supplies a full series of Fused Zirconia products, product includes Fused Monoclinic Zirconia, Fused Calcium Stabilized Zirconia, Fused Magnesia Stabilized Zirconia and Fused Yttria Stabilized Zirconia.

Fused Zirconia is produced in electric arc furnace at temperatures in excess of 2700C. Zirconia has excellent thermal shock resistance and is very thermally stable to high temperatures, has low thermal conductivity, and is chemistry insert. Zirconia is also not wetted by many metals and glasses and is therefore an excellent contact material in the existence of slags. Fused Zirconia is used in steel and glass contact refractories, investment casting as shell building material, as wear resistant coatings, thermal barrier coatings, and other applications that require high temperature, and frequent thermal cycling.

 

Applications of Fused Zirconia Powders:

 

  • Zirconium silicate based ceramic pigments, used in tiles, glazes, sanitary ware

  • Glass and gemstones composition 
  • Electronic ceramics: PZT, multi-layer ceramic capacitor (MLCC), Dielectric components 
  • Thermal spray powders (TSP), EBPVD ingots for thermal barrier coatings (TBC) 
  • Structural ceramics for the industry: valve components, wear & abrasion resistant components, milling medias,bearings, cutting tools, … 
  • Ferrules and sleeves for optical fiber connectors
  • Consumer and decorative ceramics: watches, knives, mobile phone part,…
