NITRIDE BONDED SILICON CARBIDE (NB SiC)
NB SiC is shaped by casting with composition of high pure SiC and Si powder, and sintered through nitrified reaction. It has higher strength than RB SiC and has excellent oxidation resistance. In additional to its structural propertieis, it also has excellent wear properties and is resistant to corrosion and erosion by molten metals, as well as excellent load bearing strength and resistance to chemical and abrasive attack.

Application:
Nitride bonded silicon carbide is designed for exceptional wear resistance, corrosion and thermal shock resistance. It can be formed into very intricate and precise shapes. Application examples include Plate, roller etc. kiln furniture and protect tube, riser tube, jet nozzle etc. firing parts and other structural parts.
It also has desirable refractory and chemical properties that can be used as Nitride bonded SiC bricks & sleeves for blast furnace, Nitride bonded SiC bricks for Aluminum electrolysis cell,etc.
